Clay Aiken voiced an opinion about what he felt about Idol and Adam Lambert's version of ROF and it's all over. What other idol finalist is quoted and followed and stalked like Clay Aiken.

And when you read it, he isn't really saying anything that many others have not already said all season. Yet, somehow when Clay says it, it becomes controversial. An interesting phenomenon to say the least!

Clay Aiken is a very intelligent man and has opinions that he sometimes expresses. He was answering a question from fans of his and Adam who wanted to know what he thought of Adam on AI. He answered he had only seen the one performance and didn't care for it. That's it and the media ?? has taken it and ran, because of hits to their sites.

Who but Clay Aiken can hold the record of "15 minutes of fame" for over 6 years! He'll be here for many years to come.
He gave an honest opinion, much like I have heard first hand (only not so eloquently put).

It is unbelievable the way that Clay's answer to a fan question has come to this. I love the guy to death, but I didn't realize that EVERYONE would want to know his opinion of AI and a couple of the contestants. He has an opinion, so what. Don't we all? He wasn't mean spirited, he acknowledged that some people he knew thought Adam was great, and that it was all a matter of taste. Nothing wrong at all with what he wrote.

Clay comments have been blown way out of proportion. The way people are reacting you would think he committed a major crime--just by stating an opinion. Most outlets are taking his words out of context and making it into something different than meant. Actually I think the whole media purpose is to start fan wars between Clay and Adam fans.

Several thoughts on it. I believe many people didn't like Ring of Fire when Adam sang it. I think that the mincing words to fit what they want things to say is not new to gossip sites and I think some people need to go back to school to learn how to comprehend what they read.

Wow! All this hype just because Clay Aiken answered a fan's question and gave his opinion (on his own fansite I might add!) Before you know it, it's all over the internet. Clay is really a fascinating person to generate that much interest for something as simple as answering a question!

Bwah! Right. Clay's never been out of the limelight. If he wanted to make a public statement about Adam, he would of gone to People and given them an exclusive. And now it looks like Adam is working it as hard as he can with his barbs against Clay. Not cool. Especially after Clay apologized to him. At the very least Adam should be gracious enough to acknowledge Clay's apology.
